Via Ferrata Piva – Guided Tours Last updated: February 2026

1. General Provisions
These Terms & Conditions govern the relationship between the individual providing services under the name Via Ferrata Piva – Guided Tours, based in Plužine, Montenegro (hereinafter: “guide”) and the client who books or participates in a guided via ferrata tour.
By making a booking or participating in a tour, the client confirms that they have read, understood and fully accepted these Terms & Conditions.

2. Services
The guide provides guided tour services on Via Ferrata Piva in the Piva Canyon, Montenegro. The tour includes:
A professional certified guide
All necessary safety equipment (harness, helmet, via ferrata set, gloves)
A brief safety briefing before the climb
Photos and videos during the tour
Piva Nature Park entrance fees

3. Participation Requirements
Age Limit
The minimum age for participation is 12 years. Minors must have written consent from a parent or legal guardian and must be accompanied by an adult throughout the entire tour.
Weight Limit
The maximum permitted body weight for participation is 120 kg, due to technical limitations of the safety equipment.
Health Requirements
Participation in the tour is not recommended for persons who:
Have heart disease or cardiovascular conditions
Are pregnant
Have serious injuries or are in a post-operative recovery period
Suffer from extreme fear of heights (acrophobia)
Have epilepsy or other neurological disorders
Have any other health condition that could compromise their safety
The client must inform the guide of all relevant health conditions before the tour. The guide reserves the right to refuse a client’s participation if they determine it would endanger the client’s safety or the safety of the group.
Physical Fitness
The tour requires a basic level of physical fitness. The client confirms they are in sufficiently good physical condition to participate.

4. Booking
Bookings are made via:

A booking is considered confirmed once the guide sends a written confirmation of the date. The client will receive the exact Google Maps location of the meeting point at that time.
No deposit is required. Booking is free.

5. Payment
Payment is made in cash only, on-site, after the completion of the tour.
Prices are:
Solo tour: €150 per person
Tour for 2 people: €70 per person
Group tour (3–8 people): €65 per person
Groups of 8+ people: individual discount by arrangement

6. Cancellation and Rescheduling
Cancellation by the Client
Cancellation more than 24 hours before the tour: free of charge
Cancellation less than 24 hours before the tour: no charge (given that payment is made after the tour)
Cancellation by the Guide
The guide reserves the right to cancel the tour in the event of:
Adverse weather conditions that compromise safety
Force majeure (natural disasters, emergencies, etc.)
In the event of cancellation by the guide, the client will be offered a new date or, if payment has already been made, a full refund.

7. Liability and Safety
Client Responsibility
The client participates in the tour at their own risk. The client is required to:
Follow all instructions from the guide throughout the entire tour
Not take risks that have not been approved by the guide
Inform the guide of all health conditions and limitations
Wear appropriate clothing and footwear
Equipment Responsibility
The client is responsible for the equipment entrusted to them during the tour. In the event of intentional damage or loss of equipment, the client is required to cover the cost of repair or replacement.
Limitation of Guide Liability
The guide is not liable for injuries, losses or damage resulting from:
Failure to follow the guide’s instructions
Concealment of health conditions relevant to participation
Force majeure or unforeseeable circumstances

8. Photos and Videos
The guide takes photos and videos of clients during the tour. Free photos and videos are provided to clients after the tour.
The guide reserves the right to use photos and videos of clients for marketing purposes (social media posts, website, promotional materials) without additional compensation and without the need for further client consent, which the client accepts upon booking the tour.
If a client does not wish to be photographed or for their photos to be used for marketing purposes, they must inform the guide before the start of the tour. The guide will respect that decision.

9. Insurance
The guide holds the appropriate certifications for leading via ferrata tours. Clients are advised to check that their travel insurance covers adventure activities.

10. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are interpreted and applied in accordance with the laws of Montenegro.

11. Changes to Terms
The guide reserves the right to amend these Terms & Conditions. Changes take effect upon publication on viaferratapiva.me.
